Presbyterian College, commonly known as PC, is a four-year, private liberal arts college located in Clinton, South Carolina, USA and affiliated with the Presbyterian Church USA. The college’s current president is Dr. Claude Lilly.
Musgrove Mill State Historic Site was the site of the Battle of Musgrove Mill, an action in the American Revolution, which occurred on August 19, 1780 near the Enoree River, on what (in the 21st century) is the border between Spartanburg, Laurens and Union Counties in South Carolina, approximately seven miles from Interstate 26.
The Laurens County Hospital opened in Laurens in 1911. To serve the Clinton area, the Hays Hospital was built in 1918. The facility burned in the 1920s and was rebuilt. A new two-story general hospital was erected in 1936. In 1962, the Bailey Memorial Hospital in Clinton came to fruition. In July of 1981, the boards of both hospitals approved a petition to merge into a single hospital district.
